The rise of AI art generators is here, and they’re all wanting artificial skin in the game. Whether we like it or not, artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the art world. AI art is rapidly gaining popularity, so the need for quality art generators is increasing in demand.

Midjourney seems to be the most talked about generator. However, it is only accessible through a paid Discord server, which can be cumbersome and expensive. As someone that enjoys free tools myself, I am always on the lookout for new AI.

While I see the benefit of paid Discord servers hosting AI art, I also realize many people prefer free browser tools. After a lot of fun research, I have discovered five free alternatives to Midjourney. These alternatives can be used commercially.

I have been noodling around with an AI art course that is absolutely amazing. The problem is I needed more credits for the built in generator I was learning on. After buying the course, I was a little thin on funds.

So I had to find other AI art generators as I continued my course. After a nice dive into You.com, I landed on these five tools to help me get through my learning how to use Stable Diffusion:
