I’ve “Sat On My A$$” For 15 Years
Rikki the Successful Failure, A History
I’m 30. It’s a bittersweet feeling today. I’ve been reflecting on how all my many learning opportunities just fell in my lap after thinking something’s got to give in the wait for that break away from paycheck to paycheck living.
The process was so simple — fill in in some paperwork, email a PDF, or just making a phone call. As a result, I’m a trained, tried and true entrepreneur that launched my first home business at 16.
But it doesn’t feel real.
So I figured to combat this massive imposter syndrome, I’m going to put it in a neat little article showing you I’m a real person. I’m not just here to affiliate market to strangers and tell them what to do.
I came to Medium because I wanted to feel like a part of a community of like minded people. If I have to be the first Indigenous voice from Canada that I see on here, so be it, I’m no stranger to going first when no one else will. Even when I don’t want to.
I honestly enjoyed every interaction I’ve had, and been invited to publish a few articles in 2 different publications. That feels like it is a normal thing, to just grow and have stats to analyze. But I have been realizing my results really aren’t typical for a “beginner”.
